AJ Turns 1!

Yay for kids portraits! Both Jenny & I sure love taking pictures of cute kiddos, and AJ fits the bill.  It’s hard to believe that he’s 1 already! Check out his newborn pictures (after you check out these pictures of course).

If you follow along with our personal family blog at all, you’ll notice that a close-knit family is super important to us.  Really, what else matters in life?  It sure as heck ain’t where Lebron James decides to play basketball (but I’m getting off topic here).  Our families matter.  Our children matter.  Our parents matter. Our spouses matter.  The ones who’ll be with us until the very end matter.  That’s why when Chris wanted to involve his father in some pictures, of course we said yes.  50 years from now, AJ & Chris will have these pictures to prove that he was LOVED by his grandpa, and that’s what MATTERS.  Of course, he’ll have some super fun ones of him smashing a birthday cake (and hopefully mom will be quick to remind AJ about his dad going crazy over the dirty cake, it was pretty funny) to pieces (side note: why don’t we let our kids smash birthday cakes every year? New Solar family tradition, cake smashing), and he’ll see his mom and dad with huge grins on their faces because they LOVE being parents THAT much.  And that makes ME happy. Enjoy!
