What Love Looks Like: The Ocampo Family

I met Michelle back in 2008 at the Anti-Workshop in Vegas. It’s been a joy getting to know her over the years and watching her family grow through various social media outlets. Meeting them in person was every bit as amazing as I imagined. The Ocampos ooze love. You can see it in all their interactions. Their glances, their jokes, the way they laugh together. They just enjoy being around each other. That love energy is a beautiful thing to witness in person. Having the chance to capture a glimpse of that love was rewarding for me. I still smile (and shiver from the cold ocean water!) when I’m flipping through these images. Because, when it comes down to it, on a cold and windy 55 degree day in Pacific Grove, California, I documented a family that truly LOVES one another…

Wow, I love it when Michelle is in front of the camera too. She could easily be a supermodel with her perfect eyebrows and 1000 watt pearly white smile that you can't help but smile back at her. I have known her since kindergarten, and every year all the girls in the class would write a story about who their best friend was, and it never failed-everyone's best friend was Michelle. I hope her Mom kept all those little stories we wrote from grade school because she has always been the closest thing to an angel. I am serious. We used to always tease her that she never was capable of sinning, she was so good. I have all the fondest early childhood memories with Michelle in them. From slumber parties, birthday parties, track meets, talent shows and us singing in church. Good times. Good memories.

Oh wow -- these are truly FANTASTIC! Sooooo fun and definitely bring out their personalities. I love love love the Ocampos. I especially love how they value getting family photos taken every single year. It has been so fun seeing the photos every year since meeting Michelle at the Jasmine Star workshop in 2009 :) Yeah, workshop friends!!
