On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in September, Josh photographed the amazingly adorable Sykes family at Forest Park in St. Louis. The way this family loves is so beautiful and inspiring!!
I present you Caety + Matt in black + white. Why black + white? I felt like seeing what a whole post would look like in black + white. Thoughts?
Photobooth pictures ALWAYS look better in color 😉

- a frickin’ awesome banjo
- sweet kicks
- Pam + Taylor’s zest for life (their smiles!!!!!)
- magic ties

- a Say Anything tribute (with quite a bit more rocking)
- a Pop Rocks world record (maybe, I don’t know how to check, but they did have a LOT of people eating Pop Rocks at the same time)
- Sno Cones!!!!
- If you look closely you can see Jenny + I rocking out with the couple at the end of the night (thanks Pam’s mom for the picture!)
- Pam + Taylor (of course)
Wedding season is one of my favorite seasons of the year. It’s full of lovely couples, wonderful celebrations, the start of new lives, tears, fun, laughter, amazing friends, smiles, dance parties, anticipation, getting wedding dresses by beb, hope + LOVE. The best part is that no two events are ever the same & we get to be a part of so many awesome people’s lives. Here’s a glimpse into Brie + Aaron’s big day…
No words necessary.
There’s not much better in this world than listening to the sound of your kids laughing. Max, in his oh-so-grown-up-ness, sometimes tries to conceal his laughs, as you can see in the video. Ava on the other hand, loves to laugh loudly. Her laughs usually start out sounding like the-fakest-laugh-you’ve-ever-heard, but then you quickly realize she’s for real. And Lia, she does this scream thing when she really gets laughing that just makes me smile big time. We tickle them all the time, just to hear them laugh so hard.
