Yesterday we had a blast at Zoey’s Little Mermaid themed 4th birthday party. By the way, we are available to shoot birthday parties, anniversaries, family reunions, or any other event where your family comes together and you want to have captured forever
Now onto the pictures…

I caught Zoey putting her fingers in the olive to eat them. Always thinking, I asked her to put one on each finger and attack me

Note to self: Give Nate an empty box and wrapping paper for his birthday. It’s all he needs to be happy!
This evening was a first for me, and I have to admit, I was a little bit nervous. Why was I nervous? Well, I got a call from Steele Chamberlain (the best mechanic EVER) wanting me to capture a special outing he had planned for his wife for their anniversary. I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story…

Out of nowhere, Steele surprised Judy with his own version of Love Me Tender played over the soundsystem at the restaurant (but Judy didn’t know it was Steele singing yet)

Judy made sure I got a shot of her “Sex and the City” shoes so she could show them to all of her friends. Here you go, Judy!

Steele and Judy, thanks so much for letting me be your paparazzi for the evening! It was fun and challenging knowing that I wanted to stay out of the way as much as possible and just document the events as they happened. And, Steele, I’ll be looking for your debut cd in the next few months, because you can sing!
Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of taking the Wood family pictures, well tonight I got to go shoot some new promo pics for Jeff for his new website he’s working on. You have heard Jeff’s music if you’ve ever checked out our wedding website. He even surprised us with a new version of Memories (one of the songs on our site) complete with bass and strings. It sounds amazing! I’m working on putting it up, but am having trouble with our hosting company (Boo), but we’ll get it figured out soon so I can share it with you all!
Until then, check out these pics and enjoy his music. I highly recommend catching him live and asking him to play one of his comedy songs, you won’t be disappointed:)
Tonight I did something I’ve never done before. I talked my wife into putting on her cute new dress she just got to go out and let me take some pics of her. Can you believe it, we’ve been married almost 5 years and I’ve never formally done a portrait shoot with her! I wouldn’t call this one formal really, but it was fun. We didn’t have time to gather any other outfits, or scout out some sweet new locations, we just went out into a field and took advantage of that golden spring light.
On a side note, I installed some new comment software that I heard about from Kristy, and while I like it, I think I accidentally took away all the past comments. I’m still figuring out how to work it, because I can still see the comments, they just aren’t visible to anyone else right now. Please feel free to keep the comments coming. It really makes our day to see that we’ve got new comments from all our awesome readers:)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics of my wife. I would also like to add that Jenny knows all my tricks (and is usually part of them), so it was a little difficult to get her to relax for me. Plus, I know how critical she is of herself and the way she looks in pictures, so that made my job this evening even more challenging. Either way, I love my wife and think she’s the most beautiful woman in the world, especially when she’s pregnant and has that little belly sticking out, but I’m rambling now, so enjoy the pics:)
Have I told you yet how beautiful I think she is?
Okay, Kelley, I warmed her up for ya. She should be good to go:)
So we spent our day on Sunday in a booth at the Midwest Kids Fest out at Overland Park Convention Center. There weren’t nearly as many people as we expected (I think the nice weather had something to do with it), but we still had a good day. And did anyone hear me on Q104? Turns out the DJs from our wedding on Saturday work at the radio station and were live on-location out at the kids fest. We also met a ton of people who have seen Evan’s pictures (thanks Nicole!). All in all not a bad day, although my feet definitely hurt by the end of the day
. Anyway, enough rambling, here are some photos of the drawing and the winners…
