The week of the swing set. I spent about 30 hours over 4 days building it and am glad I did. We can’t keep the kiddos off of it.

NOTE: This post will be at the top until we head out on our trip on July 5. Scroll down for the newest love stories.

By random chance, this summer is quite slow for us. We have no weddings in July, and don’t start shooting again until mid August. Soooooo, we can sit around here in the heat and humidity, or we can do what we do best. Head out on an epic road trip summer adventure! We have no idea where we’re going, when we’ll get there, or what we’ll be doing there, but we do know this. We’re going to enjoy the heck out of this summer together as a family.

Here’s where you all come in. We’d LOVE to photograph families + couples along the way (we have some killer deals for our travel shoots!). Jenny teaches a mean Quickbooks class (she does have hidden talents in accounting, backed up by her MBA). We’re open to one-on-one mentoring as well, or any other fun idea you might have to collaborate with us! Really, we want to meet and hang with as many people as possible…that’s what life is all about, right?

I’ve attached a map that shows a tentative route (key word being tentative), so if you’re interested in hanging with the Solars, shoot us an e-mail to thesolars@solarphotographers.com and we’ll go from there!

Here’s to making this the best summer ever and we can’t wait to capture your LOVE in our own Solar way!

UPDATE!

We’ve got our (mostly) final route mapped out. You can check out the map below. We only have a few spots left for family portrait sessions, so please contact us ASAP if you want to book a session!

My wife wakes up happy…especially when she’s surprised at 7am with a doughnut and birthday singing from all of us…video below ;)

Note: She’s so stinkin’ cute, too…even first thing in the morning!

Another note: Max was just a tad bit grumpy today.
