Kristy & Ryan's Wedding

So Saturday we were up North for Kristy and Ryan’s wedding. In between the ceremony and reception, we headed out to the fountain at Vivion and Antioch, where Kristy and Ryan had their first kiss! We had a great time, even though it was really hot! Here are a few pics from the day…
While Kristy was doing this…

Ryan was doing this…

Kristy wore her tennis shoes all day… Maybe you’ll start a new trend, Kristy!

The ringbearers were so cute… can you tell we have a soft spot for little kids?

I thought the streamers were probably the coolest exit I’ve seen at a wedding!

On Vacation…Another Wedding

What would a Saturday be without a wedding. Even though we were on vacation, and I was the best man, I just didn’t feel right at a wedding without my camera in hand. So, here are a few pics from my buddy Brad and Dawn’s wedding.

The kids at these events are so darn cute! I couldn’t help but take a few pictures.

Here are some of my friends that I’ve known since I was 5.

Jenny and I are having a blast relaxing out in California with friends and family. I convinced my Grandparents to go down to the Seal Beach pier for a little while and let me take a few pictures of them. Here are a few of my favorites. Aren’t they so in love!

And here are a few of my favorite pictures of the kids playing at the beach.

And a couple of others from the Seal Beach playground.

Max, Ben Harper and Me

Okay, so if you know anything about me, the most important things in my life are my family & friends, photography, and music. So, a couple of buddies and I decided to take a little road trip on Sunday to St. Louis for the Ben Harper concert. Ben Harper is by far my favorite artist. He played for 2 1/2 hours or so, and near the end of the show I got this crazy idea about buying a poster, then waiting outside of his tour bus to see about getting it signed for Max. Max loves Ben Harper as well. My favorite song of all time is a B-side to the Ground on Down single called “Not Fire, Not Ice.” I love it so much in fact that I play/sing it to Max every night before he goes to bed. So, the show ended around 11:45, and we walked over to the roped off area by his tour bus to wait. 2 hours later it was 1:45 in the morning, and Aaron and I had to work the next day, and we still had a 3 1/2 hour drive left, but out came Ben! I had him sign the poster to Max, then told him about how I sing him Not Fire, Not Ice every night before bed, so he wrote, “To Max, Sweet dreams to Not Fire, Not Ice, Ben Harper.” How cool is that!! Not only did I get to shake Ben’s hand and tell him how much his music meant to me, he let me know how cool he thought it was that I sang one of his songs to my children every single night!! It was an amazing night!! Thanks to Aaron for getting this pretty cool pic of Ben signing the poster.

Rachel & Tommy's Wedding

Saturday, we went up to Liberty for Rachel & Tommy’s wedding. The whole day went really smoothly and Rachel was really calm (even her mom was surprised!). Between the ceremony and reception, we stopped by William Jewell college to take a few pics around campus. Here are several of my favorites from the day (it was hard to narrow it down)…

Okay, so I know what you’re thinking… She “trashed her dress” on her wedding day! Well, sorry to disappoint you, although, for a split second I almost had Rachel convinced that she should jump into the pool at the Country Club – it was pretty warm on Saturday. But I promise we will have dress trashing pics soon enough (two shoots in July to be exact!) Thanks Kelley for getting Josh so excited about trashing the dress! If you haven’t heard about this awesome new trend, check out www.trashthedress.com.

I love this photo! Does it even need a cool caption?

Rachel’s dad cutting the rug! Seriously, I was laughing so hard, I could barely snap a couple shots of him dancing! Good thing Josh was there too :).

The frat boys serenading Rachel 🙂

Tasha's Maternity Pics

Sorry it took me so long to post this Tasha! I know you are eagerly awaiting a sneak peek at your pics from last night. We were really excited to do Tasha’s maternity pics, especially since they didn’t have any done with Emma (we didn’t know them back then:). Thanks Tasha for suffering through the unbearable heat (our A/C was not working yesterday, but THANKFULLY, we got it fixed today). Here are a few pics from our session…

I love this one… It totally shows Tasha’s fun and happy personality!

Isn’t Emma so sweet?

Lexi & Nathan

Okay, okay, so I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have been our willing subjects lately. You may have noticed lately (I know some people have… I have been getting lots of emails) that we’ve been trying to take a little bit different direction with our portrait shoots and get people to really open up and have fun. So thanks to everyone who is thinking, “Um, really, you want me to do what?!”, but you still do it anyway… we’ve been having a lot of fun! So, here are a few pics from our shoot on the Plaza with Lexi and Nathan the other night…

Do You Ever Wonder…

Do you ever wonder what people are thinking about when you take their picture? Let’s take a look at this wonderful picture of my wife

Look again at her face. That’s such a wonderful smile. Is she thinking about how much she loves her husband? Maybe she’s thinking about the time when Max was holding Baby Ava and said, “Momma, I want another baby…and soon!” That one’s always good for a laugh. She could be even smiling about the crazy lady who is obviously trying to get my camera, and then rolled up the bottom of her pants legs to climb in the fountain and get some money for a pack of cigarettes. It just might even be something else. Who knows, but that’s what I love about photography!

They don't get any cuter than this!

Let me tell you, I just LOVE babies! Yesterday, we took pics of Ava. She was the flower girl (and niece) of Shannon, whose wedding we did back in April. She is just so darn cute! She was so good, just smiling and laughing the whole time. So, without further ado, a few pics of this beautiful little girl…

Sarah & Tom's Wedding

Boy, we lucked out with the weather yesterday. All week they were calling for rain, and I was just hoping it would be nice for Sarah & Tom’s outdoor wedding at the Hawthorne House. Luckily, it was a beautiful day all around! We had a great time with Sarah and Tom! And Tom’s son Chase (also the Best Man) and Tom’s nephew Luke (the ringbearer) had me cracking up all day. Anyhow, here are a few pics from the day…
