Fun Fact: I was Brian’s boss at Best Buy years ago. He was a solid worker.
Fun Fact: I’m thrilled Brian met Jen, because they are so so SO amazing together.
Diane + Josh + Bruce = 1 group of awesomeness.
We met Lisa at the What If Conference in Cancun this past January, and when she heard we’d be coming through Virginia to Washington, D.C. she asked if we’d meet her at the horse farm where she works as a trainer/therapy worker using horses to help people in need. I was happy to oblige, and so was the weather/light. Lisa was so gentle with the horses I could see the love she has for these beautiful animals.

We got that good light as well as a cool breeze for Klanci + Aldo’s engagement photos. Klanci + Aldo…y’all are awesome.
These two and their adorable pup and I had some fun a few weeks ago at Clinton Lake outside of Lawrence, KS. Then we caught one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen…
These two know how to laugh together. And they wanted some photos with Puff + Russell, their bearded dragon + cat, respectively. Katie + Christian are awesome.
In our initial meeting, I asked them to tell me their story. So much of their love story takes place at Prairie Star Ranch, so that’s where we headed last Saturday for their engagement pictures. We hiked to the train tunnel, crossed a rope bridge and caught a sunset by the horses…
When we scheduled this session a few weeks ago, never could Allison, Clay or I have guessed we’d be treated to a sunny 55 degree day in Kansas City on January 16. But, that’s what we got. Allison got the best of both worlds when she got to wear a summer dress and we caught one of the last days of the plaza lights (her favorite). I say it’s a win because her and Clay are super stinkin’ cute together.
Spring has sprung, but I’m just getting around to sharing these beautiful wintery engagement photos 🙂
