Zoey’s baby brother is finally here, and he’s just as cute as she is. He was born last Friday, and this afternoon was the first chance that I had to sneak over there and take some pictures.
I love the baseball theme in the room! All the chairs, blankets, and wall hangings are so cute.
Our last session of the day was with the Reyes family. You blogstalkers will notice a familiar face in these photos… the ever-adorable Juliana. Grandma and Grandpa decided it was time to update the family photo and get some pictures with their granddaughter as well. Juliana is usually a ham during our sessions with her, but today she was bound and determined not to smile. We still had a great time though :). Here are some favorites…
Our first session today, bright and early, was with Trevor. We had been forewarned that this little blue-eyed cutie would be super shy and wouldn’t sit still for a photo. Well, lucky us, it took him about a minute and a half to get warmed up before he started handing out these sweet grins. Now, the sitting still part was right on… he wanted nothing to do with that, but luckily he thought I was pretty funny, so we managed to get a few family photos and even one with their dog, Zoe :). Here’s a sneak peek for mom and dad, who are anxiously waiting…
We’ve been blessed lately here at Josh Solar Photo. The blue-eyed babies have been coming left and right. Today was no different. We headed out to the Overland Park Arboretum for our first session with the Wry family. I’m always nervous when we have new clients and the little one is looking grumpy and tired right off the bat. But I learned very quickly to lay back, start slow and let them get warmed up to us. Boy, did he ever warm up! Jenny was her usual crazy self and Carter gave us some great smiles. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I loved taking them!
Rain, rain, rain, and more rain! Every time we had our good friends, the Millards on the schedule, it rained. We’ve been trying to do these pictures for 3 weeks now. When I woke up this morning, the sky was dark and I thought we were going to have to cancel once again. Luckily, it only sprinkled a little bit in the morning and was dark and overcast the rest of the day. Dark and overcast days are my favorite for taking pictures. It eliminates me trying to hide our clients in the shade to avoid unwanted shadows. Anyway, we met up at Loose Park and had a blast, as usual, chasing little Josh around. Baby Eli wasn’t enjoying the chilly weather, but he made it through all right and we got some wonderful shots of him as well. Without further ado, here are some of my favorites.
I picked this family pic out because it’s a perfect example of how our photo shoot went. You will see Baby Eli crying, Josh trying to escape, and David and Natalie taking it all in stride and having a wonderful time. I love you guys!
