Today we got to meet this little cutie, Evan! Josh and I both went to high school with his mommy and today we got the opportunity to photograph her family. Evan is so cute, but he was a tough cookie. Seriously, he didn’t think I was funny at all. But oh, mommy is hilarious! We had a great time with them this afternoon and luckily there were still a few leaves on the trees and it wasn’t too cold :). Here’s a sneak peek for mom, a self-proclaimed blogstalker…

Baby Nate's Arrived!

Posted by on Nov 15, 2007 in Family Portraits | No Comments

Zoey’s baby brother is finally here, and he’s just as cute as she is. He was born last Friday, and this afternoon was the first chance that I had to sneak over there and take some pictures.

I love the baseball theme in the room! All the chairs, blankets, and wall hangings are so cute.

Enjoy!

Brittnie's Senior Pics

After our family session, we headed over to the Nelson to meet up with Brittnie. She’s a senior at Pleasant Hill and finally decided to get her senior pictures done. Brittnie was kind of shy at first and quiet, but really sweet and fun. We had a great time and even though she thought she wasn’t so great at having her picture taken, I think we managed to get a couple good ones :). Here’s a sneak peek to hold you over Brittnie…

Lucas & Colin

Our first session today was with Lucas (the adorable ringbearer from Jen & Jeff’s Wedding) and his equally adorable baby brother Colin. We met up with them at Antioch Park and we got some amazing weather today for November! We had a great session with these two today… Colin is such a smiley, happy little guy and Lucas really reminded me of my little Max, full of energy, a mind of his own, and loves to think he’s in charge :). We had a fun time chasing him around and trying to convince him to take a photo or two with his brother. And we actually managed to get a couple of family pictures while we were at it! Here’s a sneak peek for mom, who is a faithful blogstalker…

Reyes Family

Our last session of the day was with the Reyes family. You blogstalkers will notice a familiar face in these photos… the ever-adorable Juliana. Grandma and Grandpa decided it was time to update the family photo and get some pictures with their granddaughter as well. Juliana is usually a ham during our sessions with her, but today she was bound and determined not to smile. We still had a great time though :). Here are some favorites…

Trevor

Our first session today, bright and early, was with Trevor. We had been forewarned that this little blue-eyed cutie would be super shy and wouldn’t sit still for a photo. Well, lucky us, it took him about a minute and a half to get warmed up before he started handing out these sweet grins. Now, the sitting still part was right on… he wanted nothing to do with that, but luckily he thought I was pretty funny, so we managed to get a few family photos and even one with their dog, Zoe :). Here’s a sneak peek for mom and dad, who are anxiously waiting…

Avery

Our last session today was with another blue-eyed beauty, 15 month old Avery. This was our first shoot with her, and she was very wary of us for most of the session. She pretty much didn’t get arm’s length away from mom or dad. I finally had to break out the big guns and run around jumping and yelling like a crazy person, but we got some smiles out of her and even managed to get her away from mom and dad for a few minutes. And she had an awesome pink coat… barely a year old and the girl’s already got style 🙂 Here’s a sneak peek for her mom and dad…

Our second session today was with Belinda and Chris. It’s hard to believe these two have been married almost a year and half! Belinda said the last time they had photos taken was when we did their wedding pics in July of 2006, so she decided it was time to have us do a portrait session. It was great seeing you guys again! Here’s a sneak peek from our session….

The Wry Family

We’ve been blessed lately here at Josh Solar Photo. The blue-eyed babies have been coming left and right. Today was no different. We headed out to the Overland Park Arboretum for our first session with the Wry family. I’m always nervous when we have new clients and the little one is looking grumpy and tired right off the bat. But I learned very quickly to lay back, start slow and let them get warmed up to us. Boy, did he ever warm up! Jenny was her usual crazy self and Carter gave us some great smiles. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I loved taking them!

Once again, no Photoshop work done at all to the eyes. Just beautiful!

The Millards

Rain, rain, rain, and more rain! Every time we had our good friends, the Millards on the schedule, it rained. We’ve been trying to do these pictures for 3 weeks now. When I woke up this morning, the sky was dark and I thought we were going to have to cancel once again. Luckily, it only sprinkled a little bit in the morning and was dark and overcast the rest of the day. Dark and overcast days are my favorite for taking pictures. It eliminates me trying to hide our clients in the shade to avoid unwanted shadows. Anyway, we met up at Loose Park and had a blast, as usual, chasing little Josh around. Baby Eli wasn’t enjoying the chilly weather, but he made it through all right and we got some wonderful shots of him as well. Without further ado, here are some of my favorites.

I picked this family pic out because it’s a perfect example of how our photo shoot went. You will see Baby Eli crying, Josh trying to escape, and David and Natalie taking it all in stride and having a wonderful time. I love you guys!

I want to state here that no photoshop work was done to either Josh’s or Eli’s eyes. They really are that blue:)
